Sorting solutions

At SGA, we develop sorting solutions tailored to each customer’s specific needs. Whether you handle small parcels, bags, or heavy packages, we have the sorting technology to get the job done quickly, accurately, and efficiently.

Our systems are designed to be easy to integrate, expand, and customize as your workflows change. That’s why we offer a variety of sorting technologies—from pusher sorting and pop-up sorting to swivel wheel, arm, and optical sorting solutions, both horizontal and vertical. Each technology has its strengths, and together they cover everything from small-scale facilities to complex systems.

With our experience, we can help you choose the right technology for your specific flow. We can also incorporate technologies such as weighing, measuring, and labeling to ensure efficiency and precision in your sorting process.

Push Sorting

A pusher sorter is a robust and cost-effective solution that handles packages, bags, and parcels with high precision. The system works by using a mechanical pusher plate to move the goods from the main conveyor to the correct sorting destination.

Thanks to its flexible and scalable design, the system can be easily adapted to different throughput levels and capacity requirements. The pusher sorter can also be built on two levels to increase capacity or the number of sorting directions without requiring additional floor space.

Advantages:

High precision and reliability

Flexible and scalable design

Easy integration into existing workflows

Can be built as a two-story building

Technical capacity

Dimensions: 150 × 100 × 10 – 1000 × 600 × 600 mm
Max weight: 40 kg
Capacity: up to 6,000 packages per hour

Pop-up sorting

A pop-up sorter is a flexible and compact solution that works particularly well in mixed-goods flows, where bags, cartons, and parcels all need to be sorted quickly and efficiently. This sorter is a smart choice when space is limited and you want a solution that can sort in multiple directions without taking up much room.

Advantages:

Efficient handling of mixed cargo

Compact, space-saving design

Flexible sorting to the right and left

Swivel wheel sorting

Swivel Wheel sorting has been developed for high-speed applications with multiple sorting destinations. The technology enables efficient and accurate sorting even in complex flows and handles fragile goods with high precision. The system can sort at multiple angles: 30, 45, or 90 degrees.

Advantages:

Efficient and accurate sorting in complex flows

Flexible sorting at 30, 45, and 90 degrees

Handles varied and fragile cargo

Suitable for both small and large shipments

Technical capacity

Dimensions: 150 x 150 x 10 – 1,000 x 800 x 800 mm
Max weight: 50 kg
Capacity: up to 6,000 packages per hour

Waste sorting

Arm sorting relies on robotic arms to pick up packages and place them on discharge conveyors or into bins, making the system ideal for environments with limited space. It is the most cost-effective sorting solution for multi-directional flows, while also handling a wide variety of packages, from small to large shipments.

Advantages:

The most cost-effective solution for two sorting directions

Can handle a wide variety of goods

Ideal for spaces with limited room

Easy integration into existing workflows

Technical capacity

Dimensions: 150 x 100 x 10 – 900 x 700 x 700 mm
Max weight: 25 kg
Capacity: 1,500 packages per hour

Optical sorting

OptiSorter is available in both vertical and horizontal configurations and offers high-performance sorting for a wide range of goods—from small to large, light to heavy—regardless of shape or packaging. Thanks to push-tray technology, even round, light, or irregularly shaped products can be handled without risk of damage.

The horizontal model is flexible and suitable for high-capacity flows, while the vertical model saves space when room is limited.

Advantages:

Can be installed both vertically and horizontally

Gentle handling of round, light, or irregularly shaped packages

Suitable for small and large items, light and heavy

Technical capacity

Horizontal load dimensions: 150 x 150 x 10 – 1,000 x 800 x 800 mm
Maximum weight: 31.5 kg
Capacity: 18,000 per hour
Vertical load capacity: 50 x 50 x 10 – 800 x 600 x 600 mm
Max weight: 15 kg
Capacity: 12,500 packages per hour
